PSG 'unwilling to talk' to Man United over Mauricio Pochettino interest

Paris Saint-Germain have rebuffed Man United's first approach for their manager Mauricio Pochettino, ESPN reports.

The 49-year-old has emerged as the Premier League club's principal target as their next permanent head coach.

However, they have been informed that PSG are unwilling to talk with them at the moment, even though they have sounded out Zinedine Zidane as a potential replacement for Pochettino.

The ex-Tottenham boss is reportedly interested in taking over at Man United, but he'll have to force a move to make the switch in the middle of the season. As it stands, he's not expected to do so.

That's why United believe that they are more likely to get their man in the summer. Currently, they are looking to appoint an interim manager to the end of the season.

Former Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has been contacted in connection with that job, as well as ex-Borussia Dortmund head coach Lucien Favre. So far, however, there's no outstanding candidate.
