Sean Dyche makes Burnley players follow bizarre cake rule during birthdays

Burnley manager Sean Dyche appears to love cake a LOT.

That's the only explanation behind his rule of fining players for not bringing cake for their teammates during birthdays.

The Daily Mail further reveals that Dwight McNeil, who turned 22 last week, made sure to stock up on sweet treats from a local bakery before showing up for training.

The England U21 star said: "We have our sports scientists who are always on to us about our diet, and we get weighed every day and do body fat levels all the time so we're on top of that side of things.

"The only time that changes is when it's someone's birthday. If you don't bring cakes in for the rest of the lads when it's your birthday then you get fined."
