Former Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Brazil forward Ronaldo Nazario has become the new owner of Brazilian side Cruzeiro.
The 45-year-old bought a controlling stake at the club in a deal worth around $70 million.
Cruzeiro are somewhat of a sleeping giant: the two-time Copa Libertadores winners were relegated from the Brazilian top-flight in 2019.
Ronaldo himself started his illustrious career at Cruzeiro, scoring 44 goals in 47 games before leaving for Europe in 1994.
"I say that I have a lot to contribute, we have a lot of work ahead and ambition to make something big out of Cruzeiro," the former striker said in a video posted on Instagram.
Since 2018, Ronaldo is also the owner of Spanish side Real Valladolid who were relegated from La Liga last season.
