Dani Alves started for Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday, January 12.

Barca lost the game 3–2 with Madrid proceeding to the final. However, still the Brazilian full-back still managed to set a record.

Alves has now become the oldest player to feature on the pitch in all-time history of El Clasico — the Barcelona vs Real Madrid rivalry.
