Rafael Benitez is close to losing his job as the Everton manager, according to multiple sources, including Sky Sports and The Athletic.
Everton have won just one out of their last 11 games, a run that includes a 2-1 defeat to then-bottom of the table Norwich City on Saturday.
Now, the board of directors is planning to meet on Sunday to discuss the manager's future.
Benitez has never been a popular appointment among the Everton fans who remember the Spaniard's days in charge of Liverpool.
