Former Ajax forward Quincy Promes suspected of drug trafficking, prosecuted for attempted manslaughter

Spartak Moscow winger Quincy Promes is the suspect of being involved in a drug trafficking racket and being a member of a criminal organization, as per De Telegraaf.

Promes was arrested in June 2020 for stabbing his cousin at a family party and the police started to tap his phone after that.

The former Ajax winger and his family reportedly invested a huge amount to buy 400 kgs of cocaine, that was intercepted by Belgian police April 2020.

The drugs had a value of €120m, with Promes and his family being involved in the trafficking too.

Earlier this week, the Public Prosecution Service in Amsterdam confirmed that Promes is being prosecuted for attempted manslaughter for stabbing his cousin.

There is a warrant out for Promes’ arrest in the Netherlands, but it’s difficult to have him arrested because he’s currently in Russia.
