AC Milan players Fikayo Tomori and Mike Maignan racially abused in Cagliari win

AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori and goalkeeper Mike Maignan were both racially abused by some Cagliari fans after their 1-0 win over them on Saturday.

After the game, the home fans started to throw out racially abusive slang at the two players which infuriated them.

Tomori was shocked to see the racism from fans after full-time and shouted back at them for the disgraceful behavior.

The entire thing led to the entire teams of Cagliari and Milan nearly coming to blows on the pitch, as Milan’s technical director Paolo Maldini had to come down and cool things.

Milan manager Stefano Pioli was disgusted to see the racism, as he told Sky Sports: “Maignan told me that he received (racist) insults from behind the door. I'm sorry, no one deserves any kind of insult.”

Despite the shocking actions, the win took AC Milan to the top of the Serie A table – while Cagliari remain in a relegation battle.
