Speaking about how he felt to see PSG fans boo Lionel Messi in PSG’s 3-0 win over Bordeaux earlier this month, Cesc Fabregas told Marca: “At the end of the day, we are talking about a player that has just arrived and that PSG has never seen the same.
“They have never had a player of that level in their entire history. t's better to be grateful and support him, rather than crush him.
“Because he is a player who, if not for this one, can give you great joy next year. Basically, what everyone wants. For me, Messi was the best player in history.
“At least, the best I've seen and played with. They can then say and evaluate a lot, but what I saw of him was exceptional.”
Messi and Neymar were both heavily booed by the PSG supporters, with the fans blaming them for the Champions League elimination to Real Madrid.
This has reportedly left the Argentine forward very upset and he is rumoured to have even contacted Barcelona over a potential summer return after that.
