Barcelona and Wolfsburg's Women's Champions League match breaks all-time attendance record

The Women’s Champions League semi-finals first leg game between Barcelona Femeni and Wolfsburg helped set a new record in Women’s football.

A record 91,648 supporters turned up to watch the game at the Camp Nou, helping set the all-time attendance record in the history of a women’s professional game.

This broke the previous record that was also set in this season’s Women’s Champions League in the quarter-finals second leg between Barca and Real Madrid – in which 91,553 fans turned up.

But the Barca faithful turned up in slightly bigger numbers in this to set another attendance record.

The Barcelona Femeni side picked up a 5-1 win over Wolfsburg in the first leg and are the favorites to win this season’s Women’s Champions League.
