Speaking to Genting Casino, France icon Emmanuel Petit said: "I am pretty sure that England will be very difficult to beat. But I am also pretty sure they will fail at the end of the day. It is always the same story with England.
"You always put them as contenders, but they always miss something in the end. I don't know if it is because of the management or because of the players, but sometimes I think they can't manage the pressure they receive.
"When they reach the last stage, you can feel the pressure on some players. Physically, the body language. Maybe it is because of that. There are so many young players in the national team that are doing a great job for their clubs.
"Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka, Mason Mount. When I remember the games in the World Cup and the Euros — in the final they were playing at home and you could feel the pressure. You could feel that it was too much for some players."
England were beaten on penalties in the Euro 2020 final by Italy last summer with head coach Gareth Southgate failing to select the right spot-kick takers.
