"I know that he [Erik ten Hag] has done a fantastic job at Ajax," said Cristiano Ronaldo in an interview with club media.

"And that he is an experienced coach but we have to give him time.

"Things must change the way he wants. If he does well, all of Manchester United will be successful, so I wish him well.

"We are all happy and excited, not only as players, but as fans as well. We have to believe that next year we can win titles."

It's been reported that the 37-year-old will fulfill his contract by staying another season at Old Trafford even without Champions League football.

Ten Hag, meanwhile, is believed to be keen on utilising Ronaldo in his squad next term.

Ronaldo has topped the scoring charts for the Red Devils in 2021/22, scoring 24 goals across competitions.
