Pep Guardiola has once again slammed Patrice Evra and Dimitar Berbatov for their criticism of Manchester City following their Champions League collapse to Real Madrid.

In his pre-West Ham press conference, Guardiola was asked about the Manchester United legends' comments and he replied: "The answer is so easy.

"It’s the same characters and personalities that lost in Madrid in the last two or three minutes.

"The specialist former players – Berbatov and Evra – these type of people, they were there and I played against them.

"And I didn’t see when played against them this personality, when we [Barcelona] destroyed them in the Champions League final against United."

"It’s the same character and personality. You can’t not have personality when you concede two goals in one minute, when you have two chances to score.

"After the last four games, when we score 22 goals, we are incredible personalities and this kind of thing."

While Evra stated that Guardiola wants to be the 'only leader' at City, Berbatov likened City to a 'small team with no winning mentality'.

Meanwhile, City may have missed the Champions League but are close to being crowned the Premier League winners. They are three points ahead of Liverpool, with both clubs having two more games to go.
