Pep Guardiola: 'Winning the Premier League is harder than winning the Champions League'

Pep Guardiola is desperate to downplay Manchester City's embarrassing elimination from the Champions League this season.

In his recent press conference, Guardiola told reporters: "Winning the Premier League is harder than winning the Champions League.

"Winning 38 games is a lot different to 6-7 games… There are a lot of weeks, matches, injuries.

"I’d love to be in Paris next week, but winning the league is our success."

City are yet to truly stamp their mark in Europe and will watch from home as their rivals Liverpool play the final against Real Madrid on May 28.

Winning the Premier League is, of course, no joke but this is a classic Pep statement to deflect the blame.
