West Ham United defender Kurt Zouma has been hit with three illegal offences for violently attacking his pet cat in January.
A video emerged earlier this year in which the Frenchman was seen kicking his cat and repeating attacking it.
The 27-year-old has been charged with three offences under the Animal Welfare Act – including two counts of unnecessary suffering to a protect animal and one count of breaching animal welfare duty.
Not just that, but Zouma’s younger brother Yoan has also been charged with ‘aiding and abetting’ animal cruelty after recording the incident.
Kurt will appear at the Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday where he’ll get the opportunity to defend his case.
