Barca midfielder Gavi becomes youngest-ever player to score for Spain

Barcelona midfielder Gavi achieved some personal history after scoring in Spain’s 2-2 draw against the Czech Republic in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.

In doing so, the 17-year-old became the youngest player in history to score for the Spanish national team.

He did it at the age of 17 years and 304 days, breaking the record previously set by Barca teammate Ansu Fati (17 years and 311 days).

Last year, Gavi also set the record for being the youngest player to make a senior appearance for the Spain side.
