German millionaire sends Bayern Munich email with promise to finance Cristiano Ronaldo transfer

A German millionaire has reportedly promised to finance Bayern Munich's potential move for Cristiano Ronaldo in exchange for a partnership contract with the club.

According to the newspaper Abendzeitung Munich, CEO Oliver Kahn received an email from a certain Markus Schön making this intention known.

Schön is a German internet millionaire, and owner of the site buero.de. He is described as a calculated businessman and not a "sweet dreamer".

Ronaldo currently plies his trade in Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr. However, the Portuguese is said to be keen to return to Europe.

Bayern have in the past been linked with a move for the 38-year-old. This time around, though, they are desperate to add firepower in attack following Robert Lewandowski's exit last summer.

The Bavarians are top of the Bundesliga by just a point and already saw their Champions League and DFB-Pokal hopes abruptly ended.
