The Champions League is the last piece of silverware missing in Manchester City's trophy cabinet with Pep Guardiola. For some people, this makes the whole City project a failure so far — and Pep doesn't disagree.
Guardiola is quoted by Football Daily: "If you don’t win the Champions League, it will not be complete, it will be a failure.
"Okay, everyone says that and you have to accept it. Go for it! We’re going to win the Champions League and the debate will be over."
Guardiola's team will have another crack at it when they play Inter Milan in Istanbul next month.
They've already been to one final but lost to Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea in 2021.
