'Worst day of my life': Now former Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn after club banned him from going to last game of season

Immediately after Bayern Munich wrapped up their Bundesliga title, the club announced that CEO Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic left the club.

Kahn shared his reaction with BILD: "I was not allowed to travel to the game in Cologne and to attend the celebration. "This was the worst day of my life, to take it away from me, to celebrate with the boys."

Interestingly, Salihamidiz was in Cologne to see Bayern beat the local team 2-1 and win the league title. It's not clear if he knew he was living his last hours in the sporting director role but at least he was there.

One pic doing rounds on social media suggests that Salihamidic found out during the league celebrations.

Both Kahn and Salihamidzic were much criticised for their policies, most recently for sacking head coach Julian Nagelsmann when Bayern were on course to win a treble.

Despite the mess, the team still lumbered to their 11th league title in a row, although Borussia Dortmund did their best to make it happen.

Kahn will be replaced by Jan-Christian Dreesen who was part of the Bayern board previously.
