Club from Faroe Island edging closer to Champions League group stage after beating Haaland's former club

Faroe Island club KÍ Klaksvík has been working tirelessly to achieve their first entry into European competitions. They successfully defeated Ferencvaros with a 3-0 total score in the initial qualifying round.

In the following round, Magne Hoseth's team faced Hacken, and after an exciting 3-3 draw, they clinched the victory with a 4-3 win in the penalty shootout.

In the first leg of the third qualifying round, KÍ played against Molde, Erling Haaland's former club. KI managed to defeat the Norwegian club with 2-1 score.

The winner of the KÍ vs Molde pair plays the winner of Olimpija Ljubljana vs Galatasaray (Galatasaray are 3-0 after first leg) and the winner goes to the Champions League group stage.
