Three months later, after Villa secured Champions League football, Luiz responded with: "I just came here to find out if @rioferdy5 is okay?"
Ferdinand swiftly replied with a photo of himself lifting the European trophy during his time at United, congratulating Luiz on Villa's deserved Champions League qualification.
