5 countries Premier League clubs can still offload unwanted players to
The Premier League transfer window closed on August 30 and so did the transfer windows in other major leagues. The Saudi Pro League window slammed shut on September 2.
However, there are a few countries where the window is still open for a few days. Clubs from these clubs can sign players from other leagues, including the Premier League.
Switzerland. Window closes on September 9. Not a popular destination among Premier League players but Premier League clubs have previously sent players on loan there.
Greece. September 11. Greek side AEK have made the news by reportedly offering free agent Anthony Martial a contract - it means that at least some Greek clubs have money to attract unwanted Premier League players.
Russia. September 12. Previously a retirement home for the Premier League's Eastern European stars such as Branislav Ivanovic, the Russian Premier League is unlikely to welcome any new additions this year due to sanctions imposed on the country following its' criminal invasion of Ukraine.
Turkey. September 13. Galatasaray have completed one of the biggest deals of the transfer window by signing Victor Osimhen on loan - and some unwanted Premier League stars such as Casemiro have been linked with a move to Turkey.
Serbia. September 13. There's not a lot of money in the Serbian league but representing one of the country's historic teams in Red Star or Partizan could be an option for players from the former Yugoslav countries.
