Mario Balotelli close to joining Spanish third division side CF Intercity

Former Man City forward Mario Balotelli is closing in on joining Spanish third division team CF Intercity as a free agent, as per Diario AS.

Talks between the two parties are progressing well but the deal is still not fully finalized as the Italian striker aims for a return to football.

Balotelli has been a free agent since leaving Turkish side Adana Demispor earlier this summer and failed to get a prominent club to sign him.

If the Italian forward does join Intercity, then he must wait until January before he can be registered to their squad and start playing matches.

Balotelli made 16 appearances for Demispor last season, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.
