France's richest man and Red Bull partner up to take over Paris FC
18 October 2024, 07:35
According to the Athletic, France's richest man Bernard Arnault has partnered with Red Bull to take over Ligue 2 side Paris FC.
Arnault's holding company Agache is in active negotiations to purchase a majority ownership share at the club.
Red Bull are currently advising him on his potential takeover and are also in talks to acquire a minority ownership stake themselves.
Paris FC have confirmed this and stated that Agache 'sustainably establish the men’s and women’s teams among the elite of French football and in the hearts of Parisians.'
Paris FC are currently on top of the Ligue 2 table and last played in Ligue 1 way back in 1979.
