Paulo Dybala has finally made a full recovery from the coronavirus after testing positive for COVID-19 four times in the last six weeks, Juventus confirmed on Wednesday.
A statement from the Serie A giants reads: "Paulo Dybala performed, as per protocol, a double-check with diagnostic tests (swabs) for Coronavirus-COVID 19, which came back with negative results.
"The player has, therefore, recovered and will no longer be subjected to the home isolation regime."
The Argentine international himself has also announced via his Twitter account that the illness is finally gone.
Dybala was one of three Juventus first-team players to contract the novel disease back in March along with Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi.
Earlier this month, Juve confirmed that Rugani and Matuidi successfully recovered from the novel disease.
Last month, the forward opened up on his desire to return to action: "To tell you the truth, I never thought I was going to miss playing and training that much. I feel like I need to train, see my team-mates and friends and at least touch the ball because training at home isn't the same on my own.
"I need to put my boots on and run, score a goal... As I always say, when you are passionate you make everything twice as important. It's been too long without training.
"We don't know exactly when we'll be back. It's not like a holiday, when you know you'll be resting for a certain amount of time."
The Italian government, as well as the Spanish one, have allowed resuming individual training from May 4 with an objective to resume respective seasons in June.
We're glad that Dybala has finally recovered, and we hope that others suffering from this virus get cured soon too.
