- Rashica is an attacking midfielder who plays for Bundesliga team Werder Bremen.
- Liverpool have been linked with the player for some time.
- However, tier 1 source Christian Falk has said that RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann has convinced Rashica to sign for his club.
However, according to tier 1 source Christian Falk, the player is likely to move to RB Leipzig in the summer as manager Julian Nagelsmann has convinced the midfielder to join his team.
Falk told LFC Transfer Room: "According to our information Liverpool were interested in Rashica, but then the new coach of Leipzig, Julian Nagelsmann, came to the RasenBallsport [Leipzig] side.
"He spoke to Rashica and convinced him to join them. After that, Rashica had his head geared toward joining Leipzig. Leipzig wants the player, but for significantly less than the €38million of his release clause.
"There are no concrete negotiations yet between the clubs. Speculation of a €15million offer or more is realistic."
Rashica has been great for Bremen this season, and he has been involved in 11 goals for the club with a couple of man of the match performances. He moved to Bundesliga in January 2018 and is now showcasing his full talent in the league.
The Albanian international would be a great bench option for the Reds and his upside is huge.
However, Falk is generally a reliable source when it comes to matters of the Bundesliga and this news means that Rashica's chances of arriving at Anfield are now very slim.
On the other hand, this could well be an indication that Leipzig are preparing for life without Timo Werner, who will hopefully be at Liverpool by the start of next season.
