Timo Werner has once again hit the headlines after helping RB Leipzig to the 4-2 away win against FC Cologne on Monday.
The 24-year-old scored the third goal for his side in the 50th minute. He now has 25 top-flight goals under his belt.
According to Bleacher Report, Werner is only the third player in European major leagues to have reached the 25-goal milestone this season. The other two are Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski and Lazio striker Ciro Immobile.
Besides, since the start of the season, Werner has been directly involved in 32 Bundesliga goals.
Liverpool have been linked with Timo who doesn't hide his admiration for Jurgen Klopp and the Reds. However, according to highly-reputable James Pearce, our club could delay his transfer for one more year due to the transfer window uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
