Loanee Kamil Grabara returns to Liverpool from Huddersfield to recover from concussion

Huddersfield Town didn't extend the loan deal with Polish goalkeeper Kamil Grabara who will now return to Liverpool.

Keeping Kamil at Huddersfield simply makes no sense for any of the parties involved as he is still recovering from a serious head injury he picked in the winter.

"Kamil is still returning from injury and the timescales on the re-start of the season put him at risk of further problems, so it makes sense for everyone for him to return to Liverpool," the Terriers manager Danny Cowley explained.

"He’s another player who made a real contribution during the first half of the season and I thank him for his efforts. We wish him all the best; he’ll go on to be a top goalkeeper.”

At Huddersfield, Kamil Grabara registered 28 appearances conceding 45 goals and registering 5 clean sheets.

On 28 January 2020, Grabara suffered a concussion playing against Hull City. The Polish stopper was knocked out, didn't come to immediately and when he did, had no idea where he was.

Grabara was stretchered off with a protective brace around his neck and rushed to the nearest hospital. He has remained on the sidelines since that day. Kamil will return to Melwood next week.
