- Marcelo Pitaluga, a 17-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper, has joined Liverpool, the club's official website confirms.
- The Reds have reportedly agreed to pay a transfer fee in the region of £1.8m from Fluminense.
- There, Pitaluga trained at Fluminense alongside Muriel, a brother of the Reds No.1 which means the club already have plenty of information on the youngster.
- Pitaluga will now work with Alisson in the first team at Melwood but is expected to play for the academy teams.
- The keeper was part of Brazil U17 side that won the World Cup last year but also has a German passport which allowed him to move to England without the need for a work permit.
