"When me and Harry both signed on the day, we gravitated towards each other in the changing room naturally," Andy Robertson said during Jamie Carragher's podcast.
"Both young lads, both trying to make their way in the game, both didn’t know many people in the squad.
"Look the fact that he’s at a rival, of course when you cross the white lines there are no friendships, that’s the way it is.
"Off the pitch, there’s a lot of Scottish boys playing at other clubs and I talk to them all the time.
"But in 90 minutes I want to beat them and it’s the same with Harry. We still keep in touch, still, talk to him."
Maguire and Robbo both spent 3 years as Hull City players - coming up to the Premier League and getting relegated together.
While Maguire moved to Man United via Leicester City, Robertson joined the Reds in a cut-price deal.
