An unexpected exchange took place after the Liverpool game as Real Madrid president Florentino Perez went down to the dressing room to congratulate the team - and caught up with Fabinho and his fellow countryman Vinicius.
The midfielder once represented Real Madrid (between 2012 and 2013).
"With us you played as a right-back," Florentino was seen telling to Fabinho.
"Yes, but to play right-back now [would be very tough]...What a player you have in Vinicius," the Reds man responded.
Although he spent a year at Madrid, Fabinho only played for the Spanish giants on 1 occasion - making the rest of his appearances at Real's 2nd side (Castilla) at right-back.
Vinicius Jr.'s brace helped Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1 during the first leg on Tuesday - but the Reds will be hoping for another big comeback at Anfield.
