OFFICIAL: Liverpool pulling out of Super League

A resounding victory for Reds across the world.

According to multiple sources, Liverpool have decided to withdraw themselves from the planned European Super League.

All other English clubs are also on the same page - the Premier League 'big 6' are no longer part of the ESL.

Fabrizio Romano writes on Twitter: "The process to withdraw has just begun. Work in progress with legal team for the English clubs."

The official club statement read: "Liverpool Football Club can confirm that our involvement in proposed plans to form a European Super League has been discontinued.

"In recent days, the club has received representations from various key stakeholders, both internally and externally, and we would like to thank them for their valuable contributions."
