Emotional scenes as Andy Robertson is consoled by his little son after Scotland's defeat to Czech Republic

Andy Robertson's efforts were not enough to save his team from a defeat in their first game at a major competition since 1998.

Scotland were defeated 2-0 by the Czech Republic thanks to Patrik Schick's brace which included a strike from the centre of the pitch.

Even then, Robertson was on top of his game: according to Statman Dave, the Scotland captain created six chances in that game, more than any other player has done so far at Euro 2020.

All hope is not lost for Scotland, but they will need to get results from the games against England and Croatia to progress to the Round of 16.
