Liverpool turn down €5m bid from Anderlecht for Taiwo Awoniyi: Liverpool Echo (reliability: 4 stars)

Despite having just obtained his work permit, it seems Liverpool are listening to offers for Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Belgian club Anderlecht have made a bid of €5m for the striker, which the Reds have turned down.

The report goes on to state that Awoniyi is interested in moving to the Bundesliga, where he had a fruitful loan with Union Berlin last season.

West Brom and Steven Gerrard's Rangers are said to be the other two sides that are also interested in taking on the 23-year-old.

Liverpool will be looking for a fee in the region of €8m to let go off the striker.
