OFFICIAL: Taiwo Awoniyi completes Union Berlin move

Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi has left Liverpool for Union Berlin on a permanent deal, the Reds' official website confirms.

The 23-year-old was on Liverpool's books since 2015 but didn't play a single game for the club as he was unable to get the work permit that was awarded to him earlier this year.

Awoniyi spent the last seasons out on loan, including the last campaign at Union Berlin where he scored 5 goals and registered 2 assists in 22 games.

It was reported that Liverpool will get £6.5m for the forward while a 10 per cent sell-on clause is also included in the deal.
