He tweeted: "Time flies when you are having fun! Can’t believe it’s been 4 years since I signed with this incredible club! Hopefully a lot more to come #YNWA"

Last season, Robertson was one of the most reliable Liverpool players, featuring in 50 games across all competitions. Should he avoid injuries, the 

 captain should play a similarly important role for the Reds in the coming campaign.

When he was asked about his footballing idol, the then-21-year-old quickly replied: "Steven Gerrard."

The most peculiar thing about it is that in 2015, Robertson was two years away from becoming a Liverpool player himself. Back then, he was only starting his adventure in England, playing for up-and-down 

Since then, Robertson has managed to do what Gerrard could not - lift the Premier League trophy with Liverpool.

 run and posted a picture with his baby son and Robertson immediately noticed the similarity in hairstyles between Trent and the baby. 

He commented tagging Trent and saying, "Here we go", the joke also at the expense of the youngster being the relative baby of the squad. 

The camaraderie between the squad seems unaffected despite however much time passing and having the Scot back amongst the group along with the captain is sure to make a huge difference as well.

Yep it raised an eyebrow from me to and if you look in today’s game some don’t even get a game and sold on so we definitely did well with Robbo

David Hankins, I agree mate and there are more Robbo's out there somewhere, we just need to find them.

I admit i thought we were mad to sign Robbo i thought he wasn't good enough for liverpool, how wrong was i he's been an incredible signing and for 8 mil, we had Hulls pants down with signing Robbo.

8mil in today’s terms is peanuts, most teams wouldn’t pay that as not top class but we took a chance with Robbo when we brought him from Hull.  Now unless he left for free that 8mil has now gone through many roofs as none better in today’s game.  Here is to many more years of him as our LB
