Liverpool U23s go down in dramatic 7-goal thriller against Chelsea

Liverpool's academy enjoyed a proud night midweek when 3 youngsters made their first team debut in a 3-0 win over Norwich.

However, the U23s suffered a stinging defeat on Friday in a game they should have won.

The youngsters lost 4-3 thanks to a stoppage time goal, despite having taken a commanding 3-1 lead early in the second half.

A brace from Mateusz Musialowski and a goal from Owen Beck weren't enough as Chelsea scored thrice between the 66th and 95th minutes to win the game.

This leaves the Liverpool U23s side 10th in Premier League 2, having picked up just 5 points from 6 games.
