'I don't think we'll play': Fabinho rules himself and Alisson out of Watford game

"I believe that match against Watford will be very hard for us, I don't think we will play. Neither Alisson or myself," Fabinho told Sky Sports.

"The match against Uruguay will be Friday overnight here (in the UK) and the match against Watford will be at half past noon.

"With all of what is involved, including travel, I don't know how much time we will have between one game and the other.

"I believe that we won't be playing.

"We will also need to quarantine, but the club is still studying whether it is better to go straight to Spain to play Atletico and quarantine there, without staying in a hotel in England."

Alisson and Fabinho took part in Brazil's away games against Colombia and Venezuela.

These countries are on the UK red list. It means both players have to self-isolate for 10 days upon return to the UK. They will be allowed out of quarantine once a day to train and play games but it's unclear if they could fly to Spain to face Atletico.

An option to fly them directly to Spain is under consideration at Liverpool, the Echo reports.

It would make Alisson and Fabinho available for the Atleti clash. Additionally, it would eliminate the need to quarantine upon return to the UK. By the time they come back from Spain, 10 days will have passed since they were in a red-list country.
