Luis Diaz's move to Liverpool seems all but done and the exciting winger will add another dimension to squad's attacking capabilities.
The exciting winger has been in excellent form for Porto and will likely be pressing for a starting spot immediately after he arrives.
Having said that, Liverpool already have great competition for attacking places, so here's a look at some ways Diaz could make it to the starting XI.
Option 1: Straight swap for Mane
Sadio Mane is one of Liverpool's best players but he has fallen off in some regards over the last 2 seasons. While this campaign has been better, Mane is firmly third in terms of Liverpool's attacking output behind Salah and Jota.
Diaz, as someone that primarily plays down the left, could come in for Sadio in a direct swap. This would also serve to make Mane compete for his spot, which could in turn, bring him back to his best.
Option 2: Formation change
When they are available, Fabinho and Thiago have proven to be a stellar midfield duo who can run the show between them. This 4-2-2-2 formation could allow Klopp to play a devastating 4-attacker line-up.
Sadio Mane played on the right before Salah's arrival and is not stranger to that role. With him and Diaz roving while Salah and Jota keep making runs through the middle, Liverpool could become an incredible attacking force once again.
Option 3: Diaz through the middle
Jota's goalscoring output is incredible at the moment, but a lot of his opportunities are created by Mane's movement and fear-factor on the flank. While this option is unlikely, it would allow Diaz the freedom to roam while Mane terrorizes the opposition full-back.
Diogo Jota has also never been one to back away from a fight so losing his starting spot would likely just make him hungrier than ever.
