Liverpool make classy Anfield gesture to kids who attended Champions League final

The Athletic's James Pearce reports that Liverpool have offered fans who travelled to the Paris final with their kids free tickets to the Strasbourg game.

The friendly is scheduled for July 31 and will be held at Anfield. It will be the Reds final game before the Premier League season starts.

Liverpool want to make sure kids want to attend football games in the future after a negative experience with the Champions League final.

The Reds are planning entertainment and gifts for those kids who attend the Strasbourg game, having previously attended, or tried to attend, the Paris final.

Liverpool fans were tear-gassed by French police and many were refused entry to Stade de France despite having valid tickets.
