Multiple sources have already reported that Jude Bellingham will be Liverpool's main target next summer - and they won't even be scared off by Borussia Dortmund's €120m price tag.
We've decided to take a look at what short numbers might be available to the England international next summer.
No.7. This number is not vacant right now but could be next summer, depending on whether James Milner decides to stick around for another season.
No.8. Like in the previous case, this shirt belongs to a player whose contract expires next June - although Naby Keita looks likely to sign an extension soon, so this number could remain unavailable.
No.15. It's almost a certainty that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leaves Liverpool next summer, so it could be an option for Bellingham.
No.16. Unlike the previous numbers, this one is vacant right now. It was last worn by Marco Grujic in the 2020-21 campaign.
No.18. Also a number that is available right now after Takumi Minamino left for Monaco. Given that Liverpool plan no further signings this summer, this looks likely to remain the case until next summer.
No.22. A trickier one as it belongs to Calvin Ramsay. This is, however, Bellingham's dream shirt number, the one he wore at Birmingham and the one he plays under at Dortmund. If that's a deal breaker, Liverpool will surely ask Ramsay to pick another number.
