Liverpool will start their season tomorrow against newly promoted side Fulham, with the game set to take place at Craven Cottage.

Jurgen Klopp updated us on the injuries to the squad today - Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones, Calvin Ramsay and Diogo Jota are out for the game.

Alisson Becker and Naby Keita are back and should be able to take part in this match.

With that in mind, here are two options that the manager can select from.

Option 1: Nunez starts

LFC XI: Alisson; Trent, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Hendo, Thiago; Salah, Nunez, Diaz

This is the strongest possible starting XI that Klopp can field. Darwin Nunez can make his official Liverpool debut in a competitive game here.

The centre-back partnership of Matip-Van Dijk was our most used one last season, as was the midfield three.

Option 2: Firmino, Carvalho and Gomez in

LFC XI: Alisson; Trent, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Carvalho, Thiago; Salah, Firmino, Diaz

Jurgen Klopp said that he won't guarantee if Nunez will start - Roberto Firmino was given the nod for the Community Shield match and he could be in line to start here too.

The other two changes are Fabio Carvalho starting against his old side whom he knows all too well. The midfielder impressed at the right midfielder role in pre-season.

Joe Gomez formed the world's best centre-back partnership with Van Dijk in our 2019/20 season and also can be handed a start here.
