Liverpool are on the hunt for a midfield signing but might have woken up a little too late in the transfer market with just two days until the deadline.
Reliable reporters are saying that the Reds can't find any good options this late in the window. However, fans don't believe that reasoning - one of the reasons for that is the action of other clubs.
Paris Saint-Germain completed the signing of Carlos Soler today. A 25-year-old right midfielder with lots of experience at the top level, Soler has gone to PSG for just €21m.
They also signed experienced midfielder Fabian Ruiz last week, strengthening their midfield a lot.
Some fans went on a rant on Twitter after the Soler news was announced:
IDONTMISS1MUCH: "€21m and we didn’t sign him. We’re just choosing to do nothing and when we inevitably win nothing we will be told it was a fantastic season and will get a parade to celebrate nothing."
NealGardender: "Liverpool should’ve gone for Soler. He’s such a Jurgen Klopp player, would’ve fit in nicely."
