3 biggest problems for Liverpool ahead of Ajax clash

In a matter of hours Liverpool will file out at Anfield for their second Champions League game of the season - it's against Ajax.

The Reds have some notable problems ahead of the game.

Injuries

Liverpool are missing multiple key players. The injury list keeps growing with the likes of Curtis Jones, Jordan Henderson, Ibrahima Konate, Calvin Ramsay, Naby Keïta, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and recently Andrew Robertson, all ruled out with injuries.

The danger is that Liverpool doesn't have a big enough squad to really compete for all four trophies this season - if the injury problems don't abate. God forbid another player gets injured.

Current form

It's clear that Liverpool are not coming into the game on a good run of form. As Jurgen Klopp said, the game against Napoli was the worst he's overseen since he's been at Liverpool

Liverpool have so far drawn three, lost two and won just two of their last seven games. The players simply have to step up and end the stuttering streak.

Ajax form

It must be noted that Ajax have won every single game they've played this season - all seven of them. They've also conceded just twice.

In their first Champions League game, Ajax totally outclassed Rangers, scoring four goals. They won 5-0 at the weekend.

Thus, Ajax have everything it takes to pose a serious problem for Liverpool even at Anfield, if the Reds are not ready.

How do you feel the Reds will fare against the Dutch giants?
