"Look at Trent Alexander-Arnold. I love the guy, his offensive qualities. But defensively, he's Championship level," former Chelsea and France star Frank Leboeuf has told Journal du Dimanche.
"Only Klopp's system works for him. When it doesn't work as well as it has this season, all you see is his defensive shortcomings. I want to take him with me to work on the basics. I would say to him: 'Turn your head and look behind you, it will be better already'," the 54-year-old added.
Trent remains a very error-prone player defensively this season. The wing-back's only standout defensive stat is the number of interceptions made – he is better than the vast majority of full-backs in this respect.
Probably the biggest problem of the 23-year-old is that he is often caught out of position while defending.
