5 players who have to leave Liverpool in less than one year

The curtain will most likely fall on the Liverpool career of some players in less than one year.

We can already tell who they are:

Naby Keita. The Guinean midfielder will be a free agent in the summer. Even if Liverpool extends his current contract they would still be willing to sell him off to the highest bidder.

James Milner. The Englishman will be 37 in the summer when his contract expires. Since joining Liverpool as a free agent in 2015 he's been nothing but a loyal servant and committed leader, but he just doesn't have the legs anymore.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. One can only imagine what could've been had Chamberlain's Liverpool career not been riddled with injuries. Next year, the Reds will have to make the decision whether to keep paying a player who spends more time on the treatment table than on the pitch.

Adrian. The goalie had moments of brilliance at Anfield in the absence of Alisson but he's just never going to make that big leap, plus Caoimhin Kelleher is now ahead of him in the pecking order.

Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian has been top-notch for the most part of his Liverpool career, but he seemed to be ageing too quickly nowadays. Liverpool's best bet is to let him go in 2023 rather than renew his contract.
