Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Ibrahim Adel from Egyptian side Pyramids FC, according to 90min.
The 21-year-old has been likened to his famous compatriot, Mohamed Salah.
But what else do we know about Adel?
1. Adel is a winger like Salah but adept anywhere in attack. Unlike the 30-year-old though, he is comfortable on both feet. He has been used primarily on the right and slotted in the left and centre when asked to.
2. Born in April 2001, he is a product of El-Mareekh academy, before joining Pyramids in February 2018 and was later promoted to the first team after just one year.
3. He has become an integral part of Pyramids’ first team for the last two years, helping his side reach the CAF Confederation Cup final in 2020 with a goal to show.
4. Adel scored six goals while providing four assists last season guiding Pyramids to their first-ever second-place finish in the Egyptian Premier League.
5. Overall, he struck 17 times in 57 outings for Pyramids since he broke through there.
6. Adel was part of Egypt's squad which finished as runners-up in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, while he also was a member of their 2020 Olympics team.
