'My mum loves Liverpool': What Mbappe previously said about potential Anfield move

Back in May this year, Kylian Mbappe revealed he held discussions with Liverpool over joining the Anfield side.

“I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool…" he told The Telegraph at that time.

"I don’t know why, you will have to ask her!

"It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It’s a big club."

The Frenchman ended up signing a new deal with PSG. Yet reports from credible sources such as Fabrizio Romano and Mario Cortegana say he will push for an exit as early as January.

He's naturally linked with a move to Anfield and it's been reported that PSG would prefer to sell Mbappe to Liverpool.
