6 Liverpool players that could leave as free agents in summer: contract round-up

Here's a quick look at the Liverpool players who could leave the club at the end of the season for free.

Naby Keita

The Guinean midfielder will become a free agent in the summer after five tumultuous years at Liverpool. The major problem with Keita at Anfield has always been injuries. He's currently injured and has been for the last three months.

Liverpool are unlikely to keep him at the club beyond 2023 even if he signs a new deal.

James Milner

The veteran midfielder is closer than ever to reaching 40. He still performs like he just 30 though. Regardless, Liverpool understands that Milner is past his prime and needs a replacement.

It would surprise many if the Reds are to offer him a new deal.

Roberto Firmino

The flamboyant Brazilian striker has continued to perform remarkably well even at the age of 31. He's already registered nine goals and four assists in his 21 appearances this season.

There have been reports that Liverpool have a two-year deal planned for Bobby. Many Reds will only hope that is true.

Oxlade-Chamberlain

Like Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain's career at Liverpool is a picture of unmet expectations due to injuries. The Englishman has managed just 17 goals and 15 assists after 137 appearances since joining Liverpool in 2017.

Chamberlain has played only 4 games this season with the game against Derby his best and most durable performance in a long while. Again it's hard to see Liverpool extending his contract beyond 2023.

Adrian

The Spanish goalie is now third choice keeper at Liverpool behind Alisson and Kelleher. There's hardly any chance that he could ever get regular playing time at Anfield.

The best bet for him would be to join a new club. Even if he doesn't want to, Liverpool are likely to overload him in the summer.

Arthur Melo

The Brazilian midfielder's arrival on loan from Juventus last summer was a gamble that just hasn't paid off for Jurgen Klopp.

There has been talk that his loan spell will be cut short after his brush with injury, but Klopp rubbished those claims. Arthur will stay at Anfield until the summer before leaving for good.
