Dortmund hope Bellingham's price tag will rise higher than £130m after World Cup – Paul Joyce

Borussia Dortmund are hoping that the price tag on Jude Bellingham will rise even higher than the £130m placed on his head after the World Cup, according to a reliable report by Paul Joyce (h/t The Times).

Bellingham will become the costliest midfielder in the history of football if any club pays £130 million for his signature next summer - but Dortmund are looking to command a higher fee for the 19-year-old.

Dortmund's plan seems to be working pretty well as Bellingham is having a tremendous World Cup with England.

Earlier on Thursday, Dortmund's managing director claimed that they would prefer not to sell the player and certainly won't gift him to Liverpool.

Apparently, it would take some humongous transfer fee to price Bellingham away from Dortmund - perhaps half of what FSG paid to buy Liverpool in 2010.
