Roy Keane hails Henderson

“I’ll never have any doubt about him and what he can produce. He’s an excellent player and he’s an excellent character and personality. That’s just as important,” Roy Keane said of Jordan Henderson on ITV.

Bajcetic talks position switch

Stefan Bajcetic has shared his story of transitioning to midfield from central defence.

"I'm naturally quite a defensive player and I like to defend but I also like to attack when I have the opportunity, so it means I have the chance to do both by playing in there," he told Liverpool's official website.

"The impact of the staff at the Academy has been very big. With the move to midfield, Bridgey [Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, U18 coach] was aiding me a lot in terms of how to receive the ball, how to get myself oriented and know what's around me – and that has helped me a lot.

"Alex [Inglethorpe, Academy manager] has always given me tips as well. I have always been learning from them and I still am."

Why Alisson was substituted in Brazil win

Alisson made some very important saves in Brazil's 4-1 win over South Korea but was taken off by Tite with 10 minutes to play.

There is no injury concern for the LFC shot-stopper. Tite wanted to give 34-year-old Weverton a chance to play and a 3-goal lead was safe enough for the Brazil boss to bring on his third choice goalie.

Brazil have now become the first team in World Cup history to play all 26 players in their squad.
